Delighted that for the third year in a row we got to welcome participants of the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council’s Horticulture Business Challenge program to our factory ! It’s always a pleasure.
Against all the challenges of making a business work – particularly in a context like Ghana; where everything is expensive, infrastructure can be poor, and high-level training hard to come by – it can be tempting to hunker down and close your doors to everyone.
But built into our mission at Pure and Just is the motivation to catalyse the potential we see around us – in the earth and in people. The only way to do this is to create a network of learning, mutual support, and resource-sharing. What you learn, you pass on. What you receive, you pass on.
Which is why it’s so great for us to invite young, aspiring entrepreneurs to learn industry practices and to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world operations. It’s also really great for our young team to see how keen the world is to see what they’re doing and to know that their efforts are recognised and valued.
It’s a hard job operating a business, but the smiles are always encouraging.
