It was an absolute pleasure to host the Ashesi Center for Entrepreneurship!
As part of their activities, the Center holds an Ashesi Student Incubator, which supports student-led ventures across various sectors, including agribusiness. A key component of this program is their Industry Immersion initiative, where students gain first-hand exposure to innovative and operational enterprises.
Our company was highlighted as a strong example of modern, sustainable farming and integrated agribusiness practices in Ghana—particularly our work in efficient farm-to-market systems.
The intent for the visit was for students to:
- Learn about Yvaya Farm as a company and our mission
- Understand the entrepreneurial journey—how we venture started, key milestones, and challenges encountered
- Gain insight into our production systems, technology use and operational model
- Explore how we approach sustainability, efficiency, and quality in agricultural production
- Engage in an open discussion with our team on building and scaling agribusiness ventures in Ghana
We say over and over again that 70% of our work is education: educating and evolving our team, educating our clients on the realities of operating in Ghana, educating (and hopefully inspiring) the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
It's really great to have partners in this journey – especially one's who have been instrumental in forming who we are! Our COO Emmanuel Ampadu is a proud Ashesi Alum and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor to current students.
Big thank you to our stellar Facilities and Maintenance Manager Felix Acquah and our indispensable Quality and Assurance Manager Eunice Okyere Darko for leading the visit.
