We’re eight years into this journey, and there’s still so much to learn ! But, what we have learnt, we think it’s important to share. This is why we’re always happy to respond to requests from organisations and academic institutions looking to bring students (of all kinds!) to see what we’re doing and how we do it.
The latest Pure and Just visit was from the GNBCC Horticulture Business Challenge (HBC)—an annual program that equips students, recent graduates, and young entrepreneurs with practical skills and industry exposure to prepare them for careers in the horticulture sector.
It is a two-month, intensive internship program that places carefully selected participants directly into horticulture companies to work on clearly defined business challenges. For young entrepreneurs, it also provides an opportunity to learn from established businesses; gaining practical insights, lessons, and strategies that can strengthen their own ventures.
The program is designed so that participants graduate with tangible practical experience, an expanded professional network, and improved employability. For host companies, it delivers support on pressing challenges and introduces them to a pool of motivated, skilled young professionals who may become future hires.
We had 17 students visit our factory for an opportunity to see how our innovative agribusiness model can drive inclusive growth, connect rural producers to urban and international markets, and contribute to environmental sustainability. This hands-on engagement forms a key part of the program’s goal to bridge academic knowledge with real-world industry practice.
Thank you to our M&E Manager Salomey Ankrah and our Q&A Manager Eunice Okyere Darko for leading the tours and talks !
